40 x 50cm. Oil on canvas, framed in oak.
My dad was a builder and house mover. While I was growing up, he'd point out all the houses he'd ,moved or lifted, and there was many. I now love painting architecture, particulary old and or iconic entertainment venues. Maybe my upbringing had something to do with it!
The Federal Hotel, best known as 'the Feddy' in Alstonville Northern NSW is another iconic watering hole that is loved by many. Build in 1901 by Mr John Daly, it is the only two story timber hotel in the Ballina Shire. Plus, it's just a great pub!
