Something tells us this town isn't quite as deserted as it looks...
Inspired by the post-apocalyptic world of The Walking Dead, Dead Quiet gives a traditional Australian bush landscape a rather sinister new storyline.
A lone cowgirl rides horseback through an eerily abandoned settlement, surrounded by weathered cottages, towering gum trees and a beautiful sunset. But there's something unsettling about the silence. Is she the last survivor, or is something lurking just out of sight?
This one-of-a-kind artwork combines the nostalgic charm of a vintage Australian landscape painting with a subtle nod to zombie apocalypse culture.
The original vintage painting has been carefully revived with contemporary hand-painted additions, creating an unexpected twist on a classic country scene.
Presented in its original dark timber frame, adding to its rustic, atmospheric appeal. The masonite it is painted on has had a bit of damage, which looks like part of the rough road. I have added cracks to it and it only adds to the coolness of this artwork.
Perfect for fans of The Walking Dead, post-apocalyptic fiction, Western imagery and quirky vintage art.
At The Art Revival Project, forgotten vintage artworks are given a second life through unexpected creative additions. Because sometimes a beautiful old painting just needs a little darkness.
