Capture a Piece of Brisbane’s Living Architectural Heritage
Bring the timeless elegance of Brisbane's historic landscape into your home with this magnificent architectural artwork by renowned Queensland artist Rene’ Witting. Hand-pressed and manually colored in 1988, this exquisite piece captures the heritage architecture and iconic sandstone structures of All Hallows' School on Duncan's Hill.
This is not a modern digital print or mass-produced poster. It is an original hand-colored graphic print utilizing Witting's signature analog multi-layered technique, making it a highly collectible piece of local history.

The Artist & Her Masterful Technique
Rene’ Witting was celebrated in the 1980s and 1990s for documenting Queensland's prestigious historical landmarks. Her creation process means no two pieces are identical:
  • Hand-Pressed Linocut Base: The deep, solid black structural lines were pulled by hand from a manually carved block, leaving behind a beautiful, authentic imprinted plate line around the artwork's border.
  • Hand-Painted Watercolor washes: Witting manually layered custom watercolor washes over the ink lines. You can see the natural pooling of pigments and variance in the green foliage, giving it the depth of a standalone painting.
  • Direct Hand-Signature: Authenticated directly on the plate area by the artist's hand: "All Hallows / Rene’ Witting ‘88".
